here in southeastern pennslyvania the weather has been like winter for the past four days – highs in the low 40s!

this is the middle of October – NOT DECEMBER!!!

we had a cool summer, and now this strange weather???

in addition, i actually had to cancel a trip to Williamsport this weekend because they were hit by an autumn (???) snowstorm

global warming???

peace prize

some people may have missed it, because almost ALL THE FOCUS IN THE NEWS MEDIA TODAY WENT TO BARACK OBAMA FOR WINNING THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

SO I thought it was my civic duty to talk up some of the other folks who won some pretty cool awards today as well

The Jets Rookie Quarterback, Mark Sanchez, won the prestigious Quarterback of the Century award (a stunned Joe Namath could not be reached for comment)

And everyone’s favorite snowman, Frosty, won the acclaimed Global Warming Awareness award

And last – but not least – Sarah Palin won the extremely coveted PETA Animal Protection prize (a stunned moose could not be reached for comment)

NOTE: Yes I am a political conservative and yes I do believe awards should be given to people AFTER they’ve accomplished something.
