what God wants

Posted on: April 30, 2010

just the other day i was looking at an old Christian newsletter i had laying around – it is by Andrew Wommack Ministries

the newsletter is from Oct 2009 – I will quote one part of it:

Most of us believe that in order to be saved, we need to ask God to forgive us of our sins. But that isn’t what the Bible teaches. In 1 John 2:2, it states that Jesus was the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only ours, but also for the sins of the whole world…The Lord isn’t waiting for us to ask Him to forgive us of our sins. The sins of the entire world – past, present, and future – have already been forgiven.”

On this point, the Biblical Universalists (such as myself) and Andrew Wommack completely agree!

But Andrew Wommack is NOT a Biblical Universalist. He believes some people will not accept Jesus as their personal Savior and will go to hell.

However, a Biblical Universalist believes that ALL people will confess Jesus as Lord and live forever in the gift of salvation already provided for them.

Still – I am so happy that Andrew Wommack is sooooooo close and just one more step away from Biblical Universalism!
