warm weather oils

Posted on: May 2, 2012

in my little corner of planet earth, temperatures are on the rise again

2 oils i highly recommend as welcome warm weather friends

(and on which i personally depend)

PURIFICATION looks like this:

It’s what’s called an ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND – it has lots of good oils in it – here they are:  Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia) lavandin (Lavandula x hybrida), and myrtle (Myrtus communis)

Warm weather bugs generally stay the heck away from you when you dab some drops of this blend behind your ears or on the back of your neck

You can also add a few drops to some water in a little spray bottle and just spray yourself and clothes to repel the bad boys of the insect world (being careful to keep your eyes closed while doing it, of course)

I personally love using a couple drops of PURIFICATION on mosquito bites – the rash and itchiness will not last long at all

Now onto PEPPERMINT – it looks like this:

If ever you’re feeling a little overheated, just adding a couple drops of this oil to a glass of water will work wonders.

Sometimes I will just slap a few drops of PEPPERMINT right on the back of my neck.  Crude, but effective.

You can also place a drop or two right under your tongue.  Imagine how clean your mouth feels after a dentist cleans it, and then multiply that feeling by 3 or 4 to get an idea of what this feels like.

(Yes, your face probably will look like this with PEPPERMINT OIL under your tongue.)
