my new dawn

the color purple

Almost anyone who sees this image…

knows they’re looking at the lovely fields of lavender in France.

And one of the many reasons that I am so proud to be an

independent distributor with the YOUNG LIVING essential oils

company has to do with these gorgeous lavender fields.

Most folks may not realize that about 10 years ago,

these powerful purple plants were  becoming less and less

common in France.  They had been dying out from soil depletion,

drought and illness to a loss of about 90% of France’s former

lavender production.

There was a danger that pure lavender oil from France

could have been lost to the world.

But thanks to Gary Young, founder of YOUNG LIVING,

that danger was averted.

He was able to transplant many hardy lavender plants

from the fields of Young Living’s farm in Idaho to the fields

of Simiane-la-Rotonde in France, where they grew even stronger

and flourished in abundance.

Here’s to the color purple!
